This atmospheric 1940s New York scene depicts passengers gathered along the rail of a harbor ferry as a crewman points toward the Statue of Liberty in the distance. Two children gaze eagerly across the water while an older woman turns toward the camera, surrounded by travelers bundled in coats and hats against the harbor air.
